| Amanda Barton - Woodwind |

Amanda Barton has played the flute for 23 years. She graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a 4 year Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in Flute studying under Margaret Crawford & Mark Walton, after studying at the Sydney Conservatorium High School. As a member of the NSW State Symphony Orchestra, Amanda toured Europe in 1996 and performed at the Annual International Conference held in Amsterdam. On returning to Sydney Amanda performed at the Sydney Convention Centre for Diana, Princess of Wales.
Amanda performed solo for the Norwegian Paralympic Team during the 2000 Olympics at the Sydney Convention Centre.
Amanda also toured Japan in 2001 with the SBS TV/Radio station Orchestra. Amanda has performed numerous times at the Sydney Opera House, Government House, Sydney Convention Centre and many other venues as a Soloist and Orchestral member & has had the pleasure of accompanying James Morrison & Kate Ceberano.
Amanda has taught many student musicians from various areas around Sydney including teaching Woodwind Students at the Prestigious Baker College located in Hornsby.
Amanda joined the team of staff at the Macquarie Conservatorium of Music in 2003, teaching Flute, Clarinet & Saxophone. Amanda commuted to the Coonamble Shire fortnightly teaching Woodwind at St Brigid’s Catholic School & conducting the Adult Orchestra in which the Town Mayor (at the time) was clarinettist. Amanda has taught & performed at multiple Woodwind Workshops around rural NSW Orchestrated by Mark Walton (former Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Chair of Woodwind Department).
A seasoned performer, Amanda performs frequently in Concerts.

| James Laundon - Woodwind |

BMus (with distinction), AMusA
James Laundon graduated with a Bachelor of Music (with distinction) from the University of Southern Queensland in 2010, majoring in saxophone. He gained his AMusA in saxophone in 2006. An experienced conductor, James has conducted Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level ensembles and has several years of experience teaching woodwind instruments and theory at several private schools in Toowoomba and surrounds and in his home studio. |

Shannon Laundon completed a Bachelor of Music (with distinction) at the University of Southern Queensland in 2010 majoring in piano and was awarded a Faculty of Arts Medal. In addition to gaining her AMusA in piano, Shannon has completed her 8th Grade Trombone exam. Shannon has taught piano, brass and theory at various private schools in Toowoomba and surrounds and in her home studio and is also an accomplished accompanist and conductor.

Katherine Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Education) from the Sydney Conservatorium in 2005, majoring in clarinet and, subsequently, with a Diploma of Education from the University of Armidale in 2010. Katherine has extensive experience as a woodwind teacher and conductor as well as experience in teaching brass and string instruments, having worked as a private music teacher in Gilgandra, Warren, Coonabarabran and Trangie. Katherine is based in Gilgandra and currently teaches in Gilgandra, Dubbo and Warren. |

| Stephen Smith - Brass, Musical Director of the Dubbo District Concert Band |

BMus
Stephen has been playing the trombone for 17 years. During the course of that time he has played a wide variety of music in orchestras, concert bands, brass bands, jazz bands, chamber music ensembles and solo performances.
He has performed with ensembles such as the Sydney Sinfonia (SSO training orchestra), the RAAF band, the Sydney Conservatorium Orchestra, Sydney Youth Orchestra, SBS Youth Orchestra, Wollongong Symphony Orchestra and the Macquarie Philharmonic Orchestra. He has travelled with the SBS Youth Orchestra touring to Japan, Italy, Russia (where he performed as soloist) and Eastern Europe.
Since graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2003, Stephen has taught at numerous schools including The Kings School, Reddam House and Kirrawee High School.
Stephen moved to Dubbo in 2008 to teach brass at Macquarie Conservatorium. Currently, he is the Musical Director of the Dubbo District Concert Band and, through Macquarie Conservatorium, teaches brass at St John’s, St Mary’s, St Pius and St Laurence’s Catholic primary schools. He has been Co-Musical Director for DATS where he conducted The Producers in 2008.
In 2009, Stephen completed the Jerry Nowak conducting course in Sydney to further his conducting skills and will be involved in many concerts including a Macquarie Conservatorium Twilight Recital with the Dubbo District Concert Band in 2009 and the upcoming DATS production of Spamalot. |
| Alice Maher - Brass, Theory |

Alice has been playing the French Horn for 12 years. During this time she has studied with Saul Lewis and Andrew Bain. Alice completed her Bachelor of Music (Education) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music between 2004 to 2007. During this time she played with the BBC Youth Orchestra and The Conservatorium Concert Band. Alice is currently the music teacher at Dubbo College South Campus and enjoys playing horn in the Dubbo District Concert Band. |
